Entry & privacy
Can my landlord show the apartment while I still live there?
Yes, showings to prospective tenants or buyers are a legitimate entry purpose - but each showing still requires proper notice and a reasonable time.
Near the end of a tenancy, showings are normal and legal with notice. What's not legal is treating a listing as blanket permission: each entry needs its own notice unless you agree to a schedule.
If showings become constant, negotiate set windows in writing (say, Tuesday/Thursday 5-7pm). Courts read 'reasonable' to mean a balance - not an open house every evening while you're paying full rent.
