The short version
Rentyfic gives you free educational tools and information about renting. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice. Anything you create here - letters, checklists, calculations - is yours, and what you do with it is your decision and your responsibility. We work hard to keep information accurate, but laws change and vary by state, city, and county, so always verify before acting.
1. Educational information, not legal advice
Everything on Rentyfic - tools, verdicts, letters, guides, state pages - is general educational information. It is not legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws differ by location and change over time, and how they apply depends on the details of your situation. For advice about your specific case, contact a local tenant-rights organization, legal aid, or a licensed attorney in your area.
2. Documents you create are your own
Some tools help you prepare documents, such as maintenance requests or security deposit demand letters. You are the author and sender of any document you create. You decide whether to use it, you are responsible for its accuracy and contents, and you are responsible for how you deliver it. Rentyfic does not review your documents, does not represent you, and does not communicate with your landlord on its own behalf.
3. Accuracy
We cite our sources and review the legal data behind our tools, and we mark anything we can't verify. Even so, we can't guarantee that every figure is current or complete for your exact location. If something looks wrong, tell us - we fix errors quickly.
4. No warranties; limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rentyfic and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its information - including lost deposits, fees, disputes, or legal outcomes. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.
5. Fair use of the tools
The tools are for renters working on their own, real housing situations. You agree not to use them to harass anyone, to send false or misleading communications, to scrape or overload the site, or for any unlawful purpose. We may limit or block access that violates these terms.
6. Affiliate links
Some pages include links to partner services (for example, renters insurance or moving services). If you use them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partners never see what you enter into the tools.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves; the effective date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
